“From start to finish, the whole process of creating (I’ll Be Your) Best Broken Heart has been unforgettably amazing. The song was written during my second ever visit to Nashville, in April, 2024, with two incredible writers; Shantell Ogden and Corey Lee Barker. I have to admit, I was quite nervous going into the session, as I had never written with more than one other person before and didn’t know how it would go. I had no reason to worry, as although Shantell and Corey write together fairly often, they made me feel very much at home and comfortable. Once we had started, the song just seemed to flow out of us all, and after only a couple of hours we had an acoustic worktape of the track, that doesn’t seem to have changed too much through all of the different stages of production.” 

“Being in the studio with this track was very special for me. Although when writing a lot of my songs, I can hear the accompanying band in my head, I very rarely get to actually hear and see that come to life right in front of me. With the help of my manager Alan Cackett, producer Alan West and the phenomenal musicians and engineers, the song has been completely brought to life. So much so, that while recording the lead vocals for this track, I kept missing my cue, because I was so captivated by the instrumentation on the song. This single is comprised of so many talented and genuine people, and I feel very lucky to be able to call it mine. So, thank you to everyone involved, together we have created something truly special, which I hope everyone will enjoy as much as I do.”
